The role of the Scottish Retail Consortium (SRC) Board is to steer the policy development of the SRC. The board provides guidance on what policy priorities are for members individually and as a group, and also provides guidance on the overall direction they would like the SRC to take publicly, politically and with the media.

The board members are expected to attend quarterly meetings, where policies and campaigning are discussed. The meeting is followed by a working lunch with a Scottish Government Minister or other high profile politician or official.

The board are expected to provide input to SRC responses to consultations and other documents.

Members of the board support the SRC when meeting politicians and others.
